Ocean World Marine Park

Created by a talented group of marine animal experts, this exciting ocean park has rapidly become one of the most popular destinations on the island. Guests constantly tell us how wonderful the experience is and how superb the encounters can be. This is something not to be missed while you are here in the Dominican Republic.

The Dolphin Swim is as the name describes where you are able to swim with the dolphins under the careful instructions of qualified marine trainers. These loving creatures of the sea will amaze you in innumerable ways.

A Dolphin Encounter is where you are able to interact with the dolphins but not swim with them. You are able to hug and stroke them or even see them do a quick dance for you. Who says dolphins don’t know how to merangue?

The Sea Lion Encounter is very similar to the above except you are interacting with sea lions. Feed them, play games or just reach out and touch them. They are very playful and the marine experts will help answer any questions you have. There is also a Sea Lion Show where these fun-loving creatures show off for the crowd.

The Shark is the stuff of legends and his cousin the Stingray has an equally ominous reputation. But at Ocean World you learn to view them in a whole new light where you can touch the velvet skin of the Stingray and can even move on to actually swimming with the Sharks!

The Tiger Grotto is a customized jungle area designed to hold these amazing beasts of the jungle in familiar and safe surroundings. You can get up close and personal, albeit with a nice thick piece of glass separating you from them and their appetite.

In the Snorkel Reef Aquarium you can see the thousands of colorful fish and coral from the area. You are able to actually swim in the aquarium under the instructions of the trained guides.

Ocean World also boasts an excellent Tropical Bird Aviary where you can stroll through and ‘visit’ with the various tropical birds in residence. There is even an area where you can enjoy a dip in the pool under a cascading waterfall.

Lastly, the Rainforest Exhibit showcases the wonderful flora of the tropics in a serene, peaceful environment complete with waterfalls, lagoons and sandy beaches.
