North Coast Golf Courses

Whether you are an experienced duffer or a novice golfer, the courses in the Dominican Republic offer some of the most incredible experiences for the game of golf. On the north coast of the island are two of the most popular golf courses, both designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the ‘godfather of golf course design.’ These are no ordinary golf courses but are truly wonderful courses with the unique combination of beauty and challenge.

The Playa Dorada Golf Course is located within the Playa Dorada Resort Complex which contains a number of fine hotels, all-inclusive to traditional, and is within easy driving distance to many of our fine vacation villa rentals. Cleverly woven throughout the resort complex, the course is relatively flat but, true to his reputation, the greens are exceptional and challenging.

The Playa Grande Golf Course, which many feel is one of the best courses in the Caribbean, is a scant 15 minutes from Cabrera and only an hour from the Sosua/Cabarete area. Coined as the 'Pebble Beach of the Caribbean' with 10 of its magical 18 holes hugging the rugged coastline atop soaring sea cliffs with pounding surf at their feet, the course is as beautiful as it is challenging. Whether you are a novice golfer or a practiced duffer for many years, the Playa Grande Golf Course is destined to remain in your fondest memories for years to come.
